Steam Sweepers carpet cleaning was established in 1996 by Art Thomas. Over the year's upholstery, grout and tile cleaning were added to the services we provide. Our most recent and largest investment since opening Steam Sweepers has been Oriental rug cleaning services. Steam Sweepers LLC, invested the capital needed to open the most advanced Oriental and Specialty Area Rug Cleaning Facility north of Seattle. We are Located at 3620 Irongate Rd, our area rug cleaning plant houses the latest technology for restoring Oriental and Specialty Rugs. The new location also provides a home base for our field service vans, which serve all our Bellingham and Whatcom County residential and commercial Customers. From the beginning and still to this day, Art is involved with each customer, whether it is providing an estimate of services, quality control, or follow-up. The whole Thomas family participates in the operations of Steam Sweepers LLC. Karen, Art's wife, an Occupational Therapist for 23 years in Bellingham, provides Human Resource assistance for Steam Sweepers, while his son Bryan, a senior majoring in engineering at WWU, works full time as a residential and commercial carpet cleaning technician during summer breaks; their daughter Brea, a recent graduate of Ferndale High, works part-time in the office providing clerical, administrative, and customer service support. Art trains and provides education through IICRC for all employees.
