Clean, Wash & Rinse: Over 80% of the fine rugs that come to us are Cold-Water Immersion washed. It takes an expert’s eye and knowledge know 100% of the time the rugs that cannot be immersed. Many but not all Afghan rugs, Moroccan rugs, Navajo and other non-colorfast rug will not be immersed. Combing & Brushing: Ater the rug has been washed and completely rinsed of soiling and residues we groom the fibers to lay with the piles nap just as it was woven. This is no different than what we do after washing our hair. Can you imagine not grooming after a shower? Lol! We all have.

Fiber Protector: Based on your rugs needs we can provide moth prevention and stain protection. Older rugs can lose the natural lanolin that provides spill protection and moth infestations can destroys wool rugs.

Drying: In a controlled environment with heat, dehumidification and air movement rugs are dry 24 hours after full immersion.

Vacuuming post Tumble & Final Inspection: The last step is another trip to our Big Blue Tumbler; this softens the freshly cleaned fibers and then we surface vacuum prior to delivery.
