About Michael Azevedo:

I’ve been lucky enough to be on the Steam Sweepers rug cleaning team for almost a decade now. A job 9 years ago quickly became my career once I learned immersion rug washing was a Craft/Art. I have learned so many interesting things about the world of rugs and most importantly how to bring life back to our customers' rugs. We call them “Story Rugs”, some of family legacy and other of personal experiences and travels. Every rug has a story and I’m happy to be part of the team that allows it to continue. The only thing more rewarding than the Craft of rug cleaning is seeing the joy of our customers when they get their rugs back.

When I’m not here at Steam Sweepers Rug Cleaning I enjoy spending time with my family and skydiving!

So glad that I found Steam Sweepers in Bellingham, WA. I brought in a beloved Turkish wool rug that had been stored in my shed for years and was showing signs of mold and dry rot. In less than a week I picked up the rug which smelled great and looked as good as new! Excellent customer service and reasonable pricing made the experience even better! I'll be back!

Transparent I needed a small woven rug that had been hanging in a bathroom to be sanitized and to have odors removed. At the business you can watch the cleaning process in action. In addition, the business wanted me to know beforehand about potential hazards of cleaning such as color drift or warping. In the end, the wool rug was color-fast and no further warping occurred due to washing, however the sanitation process did not remove all of the odors.

I used to have to take my rugs near the Ballard Bridge to get them dry-cleaned, which is a long way from Anacortes. Steam Sweepers are very fast and efficient for them to be picking the items up and bringing them back. This is our second time using them and the service was good, and the rug is nice and clean. I am happy they are here in the area, so I don't have to go so far away. It was nice to pay them $25.00 for them to pick up. It was worth it for them to have a reasonable fee to pick it up and bring it back.

I have used Steam Sweepers LLC for well over 10 years, and they do an excellent job for me. The last time that I used them, it was for a particularly difficult group of carpet. There were five area rugs, and two wall-to-wall sets of carpets in a commercial setting. They are friendly and professional people. I have used them before, and I will use them again!

Steam Sweepers has been doing my carpets for over 20 years. Michael has been the man for the last several and always does an amazing job. Looks like new even though the carpet is as old as 20 years! Unfortunately I probably won't be using them again as the cost has gone up sooooo much! Even with a long time client discount. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

The best carpet cleaners I've ever used. Michael.was a true professional in every way;, friendly quick and efficient. No chemical, soapy smell. Just a light clean, fresh orange scent. It took a while to dry but in the end the carpets look amazing. Thanks Michael for your expert knowledge and hard work!

Bill was a first time customer with a unique and story-filled rug collection. We had the privilege of washing 10 of his rugs! Not only did we wash each rug with our specialized cold-water immersion technique, but we also carefully prepared the rugs for storage. We treated each rug for moth prevention and wrapped each rug in tyvek, the perfect solution to preserving stored rugs!

Tony's rug collection was unfortunately affected by Bellingham flood waters. Thankfully, we were able to get to all 31 rugs quickly after Tony used our emergency rug pick up service. We were able to properly remove all excess water before washing and treating each rug with moth prevention. After a quick turnaround time, we are able to conveniently deliver clean and dry rugs back to Tony. It is crucial that rugs are removed from flood waters as soon as possible to prevent any warping or other water damage. We are happy to have saved Tony's rug collection by acting quickly!
